Tour of the Moon-Grand Cycling Classic

On October 4, 2014, Team Project ReCycle will be riding in the “Tour of the Moon” cycling event-all of the team funds raised will go back to Project ReCycle to help get bikes to kids in need. The “Tour of the Moon” is an awesome day of cycling in Colorado National Monument, Grand Junction. Contrary to the name of the event, it does not take place at night. Tour of the Moon actually refers to the “lunar-scape”, says Scott Olmsted of Rocky Mountain Events. Rocky Mountain Events has been undertaking this ride for the last 3 years.  “We do everything from start to finish- registering, before and after events, police support, ads, and expos”, said Scott.  Project ReCycle’s own Jeff Fleck has done their t-shirts for them and in return Scott gives Project ReCycle a booth at the expo. Scott also allows Team Project ReCycle’s members to have discounted rates for the ride-thanks a bunch Scott! Read more
