A Chat with Melissa Tank (volunteer)

 

Melissa first learned about Project ReCycle while standing in line at check-in for “Pedal the Plains”, a cycling event here in Colorado. AJ Stapleton, Project ReCycle’s Executive Director , was wearing this “really cool jersey,” she said. A big smile came across Melissa’s face as she told me the story. “How can I get one of those?” asked Melissa. AJ explained to her that the jersey was for “Team Project ReCycle” members. The team rides together in cycling events to raise money for the non-profit. The funds collected go back to Project ReCycle- which rebuilds donated bikes and gets them back into the community to kids in need. Read more

Help us Fix Donated Bikes in Englewood for Kids in Need

Volunteers Needed! If you haven’t heard, Project ReCycle now has a new donated beautiful facility in Engelwood. We have endearingly named it “The Kick Stand”. It is filled right now with bikes that have been donated that need a quick clean up, repair and tune up. We are racing the clock as we ready these bicycles for the holiday season. Can you imagine how many kids in need will smile when they receive one of these bikes? Read more

Drop a bike at any Tony’s Market all year round

Last week Tony’s Markets opened their doors to collecting bicycles for 3T Ministry.  Over 10 days we were able to collect nearly 100 bicycles.  We will refurbish those bicycles and donate them to Open Doors Youth Gang Alternatives during the month of April 2012. Read more

Our Bike program finds a Home !!!!!!

We have been praying for a place to store our bikes and do some work on them.  Late this afternoon Inner City Health Center (ICHC) made that a possibility for our ministry when they offered us the use of their former location. Read more
