On Wednesday, October 29th from 5:00 – 10:30 pm, Project ReCycle is hosting their 3rd annual “Night of Laughter“. Volunteer Patty Davis has taken on this project and stepped it up a a bit this year. She has organized a silent auction, and Project ReCycle rented out Comedy Works South for the entire evening. “We thought we’d switch it up a little this year”, said Patty Davis. “We added the auction and a “Big Name” for the fund-raiser.” Comedian Steve “Mudflap” McGrew is delivering his comic act. He has been on Comedy Central and Country Music Television!
Patty Davis is AJ Stapleton‘s sister-in-law and she said,”seeing the passion that AJ has for this non-profit was enough to suck me in. First he started in his garage, then a storage shed, and now he has The Kickstand.” The Kickstand is a huge bike shop that sits above the Castle Rock Hospital on the third floor. This is where all the donated bikes go and get fixed up and ready for delivery. Patty has also volunteered at the “Big Bike Give-A-ways”. “The feeling you get at these bike events is incredible. If you ever get a chance to go to one and see the kids’ faces when they get their bike. It’s just great!”
“We have a group of 12 volunteers that are working hard selling tickets and finding donations for the silent auction. The first two years, “Night of Laughter” had great attendance, We’re hoping for even better this year.” So all of you philanthropists, avid cyclists, volunteers, and those who just love to laugh-Project ReCycle hopes to see you come out on October 29th and enjoy early seasonal shopping at the auction and a lot of good laughs. Thank you Patty Davis for your hard work and efforts-looks like this will be the best year yet!
